Letter from PRINCIPAL 25.03.21

Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope you are all keeping well and safe.

As you are aware, in accordance with Government advice and in consultation with Public Health England, we have been completing testing of all staff on a weekly basis.  Currently we test staff 3 time per week, on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

At this point in time we will not be administering lateral flow tests for our young people on site.  We would like to encourage you to test your young person at home in line with Government guidance.  This is completely voluntary and should be undertaken only if it is necessary and will cause minimal stress and anxiety to your young person.

We are happy to support you and assist if you wish to test your young person at home.  Your young person’s personal tutor will be in touch with you to discuss this further.

If your young person is showing any of the recognised symptoms (temperature, continuous cough or loss of taste or smell), please do not send them into College.  Also, if your young person has come into contact with someone with a confirmed case of Covid-19, please follow Government guidelines to self-isolate.

From Monday, 19th April 2021, we will be returning to our normal start time of 09:10 for your young person on a Monday morning.  We hope this is a welcomed change however, if this presents any issues, your young person’s tutor will be contacting you to discuss this further.

We will liaise with SBC and other local authorities to ensure that any changes to transport are communicated.

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with either your young person’s tutor or me by contacting the college directly on 01793 481493.

Wishing you a Happy Easter and a restful break.

Yours sincerely,

Genti Mullaliu
