Careers Week Event

Careers Week Event

This academic year, Horizons College held their Careers Week between the 22nd and 24th November. The learners were introduced to a range of local employers throughout the three days and were able to ask each about the different entry routes, job roles and tasks available in their industries. Many employers also offered activities for our learners to participate in, helping them develop their work specific skills.

Employers that attended included: Swindon Borough Council, Barnes Coaches, Headway, Great Western Hospital, Serco, Barnes Coaches, E.P. Keogh Contractors Ltd, GXO (Iceland Warehouse), Clarendon Speciality Fasteners Ltd and Mike Bowles Gardening & Landscaping.

The learners were also supported with their future career development and choices by external organisations such as the National Careers Service, UET Skills For Ever, Disability Experts Training & Consultancy (DECIC) and Voluntary Action Swindon.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the employers, staff and learners who contributed to the week and made it a success. We look forward to the next Horizons College Careers Event.
