Overtown Manor Work Experience

Since January, a group of Horizons College learners have been attending a weekly work experience placement at Overtown Manor in Wroughton. Learners have been working on their vegetable garden project, preparing the land, planting and maintaining various vegetables and collecting eggs from the chickens. Overtown Manor use the vegetables they grow to feed their guests and visitors as part of their commitment to local sustainability.

The learners will also be taught how to cook with the food they are growing so that they can experience the full life cycle and end results of the produce they work hard to nurture.
