Pathway to life
Course Information
The Pathway to Life programme is for learners who have complex, medical and therapeutic needs.
The course focuses on developing knowledge and understanding of essential life and communication skills. We encourage learners to have their say and make choices, skills which are essential in supporting their journey into adulthood.
The Pathway to Life programme encourages personal and social development, seeking to enhance the quality of life of our learners and levels of independence.
The course includes access to activities such as:
- Shopping & Cooking
- Activities for Daily Living
- Community Participation
- Swimming
- Sensory
- Therapies
On this pathway, learners will take part in enterprise or work shadowing in order to increase their awareness of the world and enable learners to engage with the local community.
Qualifications
We offer a wide range of options and activities. Our aim is to get everyone ready for the next step in life, whether this is independent, supported or unsupported employment.
Learners will study English and Maths in a functional way through activities for daily living. Where possible, learners will work towards accreditations with an appropriate awarding body.
Moving on…
From the Pathway to Life programme learners will progress into a Skills for Life programme, community based supported living or social enterprise where they will carry on to the next step in their adulthood.
Entry Requirements
Applicants need to be over 16 and have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

- Therapy - PT/OT/SaLT/College Nurse
Course Cost
The course is free to full time learners with an EHCP.
